Now, we know that many people are off on their holidays throughout August, but we’re not… and we’re bringing in a sparkly new headliner to mark the occasion with us!
Chloe Hanks is a poet based in York. Recipient of the V Press Prize for poetry in 2020, her debut pamphlet, May We All Be Artefacts was published by V Press in 2021 and followed by I Call Upon the Witches published by Sunday Mornings at the River in 2022. More recent work has appeared in Ink, Sweat & Tears, MODRON magazine, Porridge Magazine and Thicket from Fawn Press. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing from York St John University. As of 2026, she is the Poetry Representative for York Creatives, a bookseller for the Poetry Pharmacy and served as Festival Director for York Literature Festival.
