Moving!!!
We have finally set a moving date. We close our current premises at 104 High Street on the 12th April, to relocate to 5 Crown Passage and reopening on Thursday 16th. It’s a tight turnaround, but there are so many wonderful events lined up that we had to pick a short window. Looking forward to welcoming you all!

Art supplies are in!
After receiving almost weekly requests, we have finally managed to create space to stock Winsor & Newton art supplies. Pop in and see our full range of quality oils, acrylics, watercolours and brushes – and do let us know what else you’d like us to stock (we’ll be able to order pads, canvases, etc. for you too!)

Esoteric offerings
Our resident Pagan Druid and owner, Leena, has started her own range of Moon Water. Beautiful crystal glass bottles with crystals and moon water from varying phases during the year are now on sale. She will be adding to the range as the year progresses, and creating more artefacts and crafts for our new home.

Relocation
As many of you are aware, we have been facing a massive financial crisis in our current premises. We loved being central in Cathedral Square, but the footfall in that area has sadly decline significantly, and along with rising costs it’s meant the site is no longer viable. However, we do have good news – we’ve found a new unit which we believe will suit us much better.

5 Crown Passage is just off Broad Street, and part of an old 15th century coaching inn. It’s cute, and quirky, just like us! We’ll be doing more of what we love, and can’t wait to welcome you all. Date is still TBC but likely beginning / mid-April so watch this space!

Save Script Haven
Due to the national cost of living crisis and lower spending habits -we have noticed a devastating decline in spending habits, and our costs have risen sharply – we now face a stark choice: close our doors or ask our community for help.
So, we need to do whatever it takes to continue and this means asking for help. Without doing this, the bookshop is at risk of closure and we want to avoid that at all costs.

If our supporters could afford £5 each, we’d smash the target. Please give what you can in our time of need: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-script-books-matter

NEW ORIGINAL DICKENSIAN STORY
In the tradition and style of Charles Dickens, founder of Script Haven Leena Batchelor has written a new original Dickensian style story which will be released in serial form weekly up to the start of “Great Recitations”, our Dickens Festival running 7th – 8th February 2026. The story will be released as a single, exclusive, bound copy for the Charity Ball auction at the end of the festival and include an exclusive unreleased concluding chapter. You can read the story as it unfolds here.

“42 for 42” launch
Founder of Script Haven, Leena Batchelor, wearing her hat as author, has launched a 7th collection, but this time it’s not poetry! “42 for 42” is a collection of 42 flash fiction stories she has written and performed for 42Worcester, the city’s (and possibly the country’s only) alternative-genre spoken word event hosted at Script Haven on the last Tuesday of every month. The cover, designed by Leena, has been entered by publishers Black Pear Press for the British Book Design & Production Awards in the Best Jacket/Cover Design category.
